What is artificial intelligence?

Nowadays artificial intelligence has had many advances in the different fields of technological development that seek to make our lives easier, it is also true that many new things are missing to learn about this technology, which promises us great things for the future [2].

'Artificial intelligence is the science and engineering of making intelligent machines, especially intelligent computer programs. It is related to the similar task of using computers to understand human intelligence, but AI does not have to confine itself to methods that are biologically observable', John McCarty said [3]. The Turing Test, proposed by Alan Turing (1950), was designed to provide a satisfactory operational definition of intelligence. A computer passes the test if a human interrogator, after posing some written questions, cannot tell whether the written responses come from a person or from a computer [4,5].

Branches of artificial intelligence:

The main branches of Artificial Intelligence are:

  • Machine Learning
  • Natural language processing
  • Computer Vision
  • Speech Recognition
  • Expert system
  • Robotics
  • Planning and optimization

Applications of Artificial Intelligence:
